For the nights you cannot be there

A Lullaby in the Voice They Fall Asleep To

A child does not need a good singer. They need a familiar one. My Voice Studio can learn a voice from recordings the person agreed to give, and then sing lullabies, bedtime songs and birthday songs in it — so the parent posted overseas, the grandmother in another country, or the one working nights is still the voice at bedtime.

How to make a lullaby in someone’s voice

The recording step is the one that needs the person themselves, so it is worth doing on the next call home.

Record the voice, with their consent
A few short takes of them singing, in one room with one microphone, gives a far steadier model than clips gathered from everywhere.
Train the voice model
Add the takes to My Voice Studio and let it build one model from that one singer. You only do this once.
Create the lullaby
Choose a song or describe one, add your child’s name and the phrases your family actually uses, and generate it in that voice.

The distances people use this for

The requests are remarkably consistent, and they are all the same shape: someone who would sing if they could be in the room.

Deployed and posted away
A bedtime song recorded before leaving, then new ones for each birthday that passes while they are gone.
Grandparents abroad
The lullabies a grandmother sang to you, now sung to your child in her voice rather than yours.
Night shifts and long hours
The parent who leaves before bedtime can still be the voice at bedtime.
Two homes
A familiar voice that travels with the child between households.

Making it theirs

The detail is what a child recognises. Songs land differently when they use the child’s name, the nickname only that family uses, or the line that always came at the end.

Because training produces a reusable model, the same voice can carry a whole shelf of songs — a lullaby now, a birthday song next year, a silly one for the car — without recording the person again.
