MCP server overview

[object Object]

Voxmin MCP server

Voxmin speaks the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Connect the AI agent you already use — Claude (web, Desktop or mobile), ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or your own app on the OpenAI Responses API — and it can make things in Voxmin for you, paid from your own Voxmin credits.

You ask in plain words ("make a poster of a fox reading under a lamp", "turn this YouTube link into karaoke", "swap my face into this photo", "make a 30-second video of my cat as a pirate"); the agent picks the right Voxmin tool, tells you what it costs, and brings back the result. Almost everything you can do on the website or in the app, your agent can do too.

Endpoint

https://api.voxmin.com/auth/mcp
SettingValue
TransportStreamable HTTP (stateless, JSON responses)
AuthenticationSign in with your Voxmin account (OAuth 2.1 with PKCE), or Authorization: Bearer vxm_…, a personal token from AI Integrations
Rate limit60 requests per minute per app or token

Get started

Add Voxmin to your agent

Pick your client below and add the endpoint above. Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex and Cursor then open Voxmin for you to log in and approve the app: there is no token to copy.

Your own code (the OpenAI Responses API), or a setup that cannot sign in, uses a personal token instead: make one on AI Integrations (it is shown only once) and paste it where the guide says.

Ask for something

Start with "What's my Voxmin balance?". The agent calls get_account and answers with your credit balance. If that works, everything is connected.

Pick your client

Claude (web, Desktop, mobile)

Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, then sign in.

ChatGPT

A custom MCP server in Developer mode, with OAuth.

Claude Code

One claude mcp add command, then Authenticate in /mcp.

Cursor

An entry in ~/.cursor/mcp.json, then log in from Cursor's MCP settings.

Codex

codex mcp add, then codex mcp login voxmin.

OpenAI Responses API

An mcp tool in your own Responses API requests.

What your agent can do

AreaWhat the agent can doMain tools
Pictures and designsMake pictures (up to 4K and 8K), edit them — follow an instruction, redraw in a look, change or erase parts, extend, upscale, remove the background — and make, open and save Image Studio designs.generate_image, edit_image, create_design
SongsWrite and produce an original song or instrumental, choose a singer, genre, tempo and key, remix a track, or follow a reference song's style.create_song, refine_song_text
KaraokeRemove the vocals from a YouTube song or your own file, preview it, then unlock it. Search the karaoke library and unlock songs from it or from Explore.create_karaoke, get_job_preview, unlock_job, search_karaoke_library
Lyric videos and lyricsLyric and lyric-karaoke videos with every Lyrical Studio style, lyrics to review before a video is made, timed lyrics (cue sheets) to create, import, correct and export, and transcripts.create_lyric_video, create_lyrics_sheet, export_cue_sheet, transcribe
Your voicesCovers in the voices you trained in My Voice Studio, from YouTube or your own file, and managing those voices.create_voice_cover, get_voice
Face StudioFind the faces in a photo or video, swap in the faces you saved in Face Studio, and enhance, age, change expressions or lip-sync.detect_faces, create_face_swap, create_face_edit
FloStudioMake AI videos: create a project, work with its assistant, generate, edit the timeline yourself (trims, titles that animate in, word-by-word captions, cutting pauses and filler words), export and download.create_flo_project, flo_assistant_send, flo_edit, flo_add_captions, flo_export
RecordingsYour recordings and performances, and recorded covers mixed against a backing track.create_record_cover, list_my_performances
SocialRead your feed, profiles and playlists; post, comment, react, follow and build playlists.list_feed, create_post, follow_user, create_playlist
MessagesRead and send messages, manage chats, and read notifications.list_chat_rooms, send_direct_message, list_notifications
AccountYour balance, prices, credit history, payments and plans.get_account, get_prices, list_credit_transactions

Long work — songs, karaoke, lyric videos, covers, face swaps and videos — runs in the background, as it does on the website: the tool returns an id, the agent follows it with get_job (or the area's own get_… tool), and fetches the result with get_download_link. Pictures wait for the result and come back with previews.

What stays in the app

  • Buying credits, your password, deleting your account, API keys and your MCP tokens and connected apps.
  • Your Face Studio faces and terms, and training new voices. These need your own consent in the app. Once you have made them, your agent can use them.
  • Big files. Agents send files inline, up to 7 MB each. Face Studio and FloStudio can also import from a link on the supported sites.

Your agent asks first

Tools that post, send, delete, publish or unlock something with credits are marked as such for your agent. Claude, ChatGPT and other apps ask you before they call one, and the table below marks them Asks you first.

Connect only some areas

Voxmin offers about 170 tools. Some apps cap how many tools one server may bring (Cursor allows about 40), and every tool costs your agent a little memory. Add ?areas= to the endpoint to connect only what you use:

https://api.voxmin.com/auth/mcp?areas=pictures,songs,jobs

The areas are pictures, songs, voices, jobs (karaoke, Explore and the karaoke library), lyrics, face_studio, flo_studio, record, social, messages and account. get_account, get_prices, get_job, list_jobs and get_download_link are always there. Sign-in works the same with or without areas.

Paid tools cost the same as on the website. Your agent can run get_prices for today's prices.

The same list is public, so your own code can read it too — no token needed:

curl https://api.voxmin.com/auth/mcp/info
{
    "url": "https://api.voxmin.com/auth/mcp",
    "tools": [
        {
            "name": "generate_image",
            "title": "Generate a picture",
            "description": "…",
            "price": "2 credits per picture",
            "area": "pictures",
            "asks_first": false
        }
    ]
}

price is either a number of credits or a short sentence, so handle both.

How billing works

  • Your credits, nothing else. Tools spend from the same Voxmin balance you use on the website. There is no separate plan or subscription for AI agents.
  • Every tool states its price. Each spending tool says what it costs in its own description, so your agent can tell you before it spends. get_prices lists them all.
  • Everything costs the same as in the app. Pictures cost what they cost in Image Studio, karaoke what it costs in Karaoke Creator, and so on.
  • Blocked or failed work is free. If a picture is refused by the content checks, or a job fails, nothing is charged.
  • Karaoke and lyric videos are paid when unlocked. Making one is free; your agent shows you a preview and unlocks it only when you say so.
  • Daily caps are checked first. If a token has a daily credit cap, a spending tool refuses before it starts when today's spend through that token would pass the cap.
  • Running low? Top up on the Pricing page. Credits never expire.

Security

Your token acts as you: anyone holding it can spend your credits. Treat it like a password.

Personal tokens

  • Made by you. Each token belongs to one member and is made on the AI Integrations page.
  • Shown once. Voxmin only shows a token when it is created. Copy it then; if you lose it, revoke it and make a new one.
  • Up to 10 per member. Make one per agent or machine, so you can revoke one without breaking the others.
  • Daily credit cap. Optional, per token: the most that token may spend in a day (the day runs midnight to midnight UTC).
  • Expiry. Optional, per token: after that date the token stops working.
  • Revoke any time. Revoking takes effect at once; the next request with that token gets 401 Unauthorized.
  • Rate limit. 60 requests per minute per token.
  • Keep it out of code. Prefer an environment variable over pasting the token into a file, never commit it to a repository, and don't share it in screenshots or chats.

A request gets 401 Unauthorized when its token is wrong, revoked or expired, or when the account behind it is suspended or deleted.

Signing in with your Voxmin account

Apps that support it sign in with OAuth 2.1, the way claude.ai and ChatGPT connectors do:

  • You approve each app. The app opens a Voxmin page that names it and says where it goes back to; nothing connects until you choose Approve.
  • Connected apps. Every app you approved is listed under AI Integrations → Connected apps. Sign out stops it at once.
  • Short-lived access. The app gets an access token that lasts an hour and a refresh token that changes every time it is used. An app unused for 90 days has to sign in again.
  • For developers. The endpoint answers 401 with WWW-Authenticate: Bearer resource_metadata=… (RFC 9728). That metadata names the authorization server (RFC 8414, at /.well-known/oauth-authorization-server), which takes public clients only (PKCE S256): register one (RFC 7591), or use a client ID metadata document. Tokens are bound to the MCP endpoint (resource, RFC 8707).

Content rules

Everything made through MCP goes through the same content checks as the website, and the Terms & Conditions apply. Sexual content involving minors is always refused. A picture refused by the checks is not charged.
