“API rate limits are generous. We process 10,000+ jobs monthly without hitting caps. The async job model fits our architecture perfectly.”

Cursor connects to Voxmin's MCP server directly over HTTP. Add it once for every project, or for a single project, and sign in with your Voxmin account.
Cursor reads MCP servers from two files:
~/.cursor/mcp.json — available in every project..cursor/mcp.json in a project — available in that project only.Add a voxmin entry under mcpServers (keep any servers already there). With no token in it, the file is safe to commit:
{
"mcpServers": {
"voxmin": {
"url": "https://api.voxmin.com/auth/mcp"
}
}
}
https://api.voxmin.com/auth/mcp?areas=pictures,songs,jobs — see Connect only some areas.Then open Cursor Settings → MCP: Voxmin shows that it needs a login. Click it, and your browser opens Voxmin: log in if you are asked, and choose Approve.
Voxmin lists Cursor under AI Integrations → Connected apps. Sign out there stops it at once.
Make a token on AI Integrations. It starts with vxm_ and is shown only once, so copy it when you create it. Add it as a header, with your token in place of <your token>:
{
"mcpServers": {
"voxmin": {
"url": "https://api.voxmin.com/auth/mcp",
"headers": {
"Authorization": "Bearer <your token>"
}
}
}
}
A project's .cursor/mcp.json is often committed. Never put a token in a file you commit. Cursor fills in environment variables written as ${env:NAME}, so keep your token in VOXMIN_TOKEN instead:
{
"mcpServers": {
"voxmin": {
"url": "https://api.voxmin.com/auth/mcp",
"headers": {
"Authorization": "Bearer ${env:VOXMIN_TOKEN}"
}
}
}
}
export VOXMIN_TOKEN="<your token>"
Start Cursor from a terminal where VOXMIN_TOKEN is set, or set it in your shell profile.
get_account and answers with your credits.| What you see | Why | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Voxmin shows an error or no tools | The file has a JSON error, or the token did not reach the request | Check the JSON, and that VOXMIN_TOKEN is set if you use ${env:VOXMIN_TOKEN}. Output → MCP Logs shows the details |
401 Unauthorized | The token is wrong, revoked or expired, or the account is suspended or deleted | Make a new token on AI Integrations and update the file |
| "Daily credit cap reached" | Today's spend through this token would pass the cap you set on it | Wait until midnight UTC, or make a token with a higher cap |
| "Not enough credits" | Your balance is lower than the tool's price | Top up on the Pricing page |
429 Too Many Requests | More than 60 requests in a minute through this token | Wait a minute and try again |
| The request is refused | It did not pass Voxmin's content checks | Change the request. A refused picture is not charged |
